Gordon Sanitary District #1 Commission
The Town Board of the Town of Gordon created the Gordon Sanitary District #1 circa June 1980, to further the health, safety, welfare and wise use of resources for the benefit of residents and property owners within the boundaries of the sanitary district. The Town Board appoints members to the Gordon Sanitary District #1 Commission for staggered 6-year terms.
Powers of the Commission
The Gordon Sanitary District #1 is a body corporate under §60.77 (2), Wis. Stats., with the powers of a municipal corporation. The Commission has charge of all affairs of the sanitary district as provided under subchapter IX of Chapter 60, Wis. Stats., except for specific statutory powers assigned to the Town Board. The Commission has the authority to adopt ordinances for regulating the operations of the sanitary district.
